La cancion "No Woman, No Cry" fue escrita por Bob Marley y es acreditada a Vincent Ford (amigo de Marley) por problemas con la discográfica.
El tema fue lanzado en el año 1974 en el álbum "Natty Dread", y echo famoso por Bob Marley & The Wailers en 1975, llegando al puesto Nº22 en el Reino Unido, pero la versión en vivo a finales de 1975, fue la que lo hizo aun mas famoso.
Según la revista Rolling Stone, la versión original se ubica en el puesto Nº37 de las 500 mejores canciones de todos los tiempos.
Robert Nesta Marley Booker, conocido por Boy Marley, nació el 6 de febrero de 1945 en Nine Mile, Jamaica.
Fue cantante, musico y compositor.
Su estilo de musica fue reggae, ska, rocksteady.
Es el principal y mas respetado interprete de reggae en la historia, y un personaje muy apreciado por ser difusor de la música de Jamaica y el movimiento Rastafari, entre otros.
Falleció un 11 de mayo, en 1981, en la ciudad de Miami, a los 36 años de edad.
