Pink Floyd, es una banda británica originaria de Cambridge.
El grupo se formo en el año 1965 y mantuvo actividad hasta el año 1995.
Es sin dudas una de las bandas mas importantes e influyentes en la historia de la música.
Su música es rock, sicodelico, progresivo, sinfónico, hard.
David Gilmour y Roger Waters fueron sus principales miembros, sin embargo el primer líder del grupo fue Syd Barrett, quien era el cantante principal y guitarrista. Barrett fue sustituido en el año 1968 por David Gilmour.
El primer álbum lanzado por Pink Floyd fue "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" en el año 1967.
